Augmentin ES Dosage

Your child's healthcare provider will recommend a dose of Augmentin ES based on your child's weight. The standard recommended dosage amount is 45 mg per kg twice daily (approximately 20 mg per pound twice daily). This prescription medication comes in the form of a liquid and should be taken at the beginning of a meal, as food increases the absorption of this antibiotic.

An Introduction to Your Dosage of Augmentin ES

The dose of Augmentin ES® (amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium ES) your child's healthcare provider recommends will vary, depending on the weight of your child. As is always the case, do not adjust the amount unless the healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
