Cipro HC Otic

Cipro® HC (ciprofloxacin/hydrocortisone) is an otic medication, which means it is applied to the ear. This drug is approved to treat acute otitis externa, more commonly known as an outer ear infection or "swimmer's ear." It comes in the form of an ear drop and is applied to the affected ear twice a day for seven days.

Because it is an otic drug, Cipro HC should never be applied to the eyes, nose, or mouth. Take it exactly as your healthcare provider describes and for as long as he or she recommends.
