Ciprodex Drops

Available in the form of ear drops, Ciprodex® (ciprofloxacin/dexamethasone) is a combination medication prescribed to treat otitis externa (outer ear infections) in adults and children, as well as and otitis media (middle ear infections) in children with ear tubes.

This ear medication contains both an antibiotic (ciprofloxacin) to cure the bacterial infection and a corticosteroid (dexamethasone) to help reduce inflammation. Ciprodex drops are typically used twice daily for seven days. The recommended dosage is the same for everyone, regardless of age or the infection being treated. The doses should be given about 12 hours apart.
