Ciprodex® (
ciprofloxacin/dexamethasone) is a medication often prescribed for treating certain bacterial
ear infections. Although most people tolerate this medication well, it is possible to develop side effects while using Ciprodex otic (ear) suspension. Reactions commonly caused by these ear drops may include:
- Ear discomfort
- Ear pain
- Itching of the ear.
In most cases, side effects such as these are minor and easily treated. However, you should notify your healthcare provider right away if you are using Ciprodex and you develop serious reactions, such as severe or persistent ear pain that does not improve or gets worse while using Ciprodex.
