Cipro HC Antibiotic Information

Cipro® HC (ciprofloxacin/hydrocortisone) is a prescription drug used in the treatment of outer ear infections, known medically as "otitis media" and more commonly called "swimmer's ear." This antibiotic comes in the form of an ear drop and is applied to the affected ear twice a day for seven days.

In order to make sure that Cipro HC is right for you, inform your healthcare provider about any other medical conditions you have and all other medications you are taking, including nonprescription products and supplements. In addition, use Cipro HC for as long as your healthcare provider recommends. Stopping treatment too soon can lead to antibacterial resistance.
