Floxin Otic 0.3%

If you have a certain type of bacterial ear infection, your healthcare provider may prescribe Floxin® Otic (ofloxacin otic solution). This medication used to be available as Floxin Otic 0.3% solution single-use containers and Floxin Otic 0.3% solution multidose containers. However, brand-name Floxin Otic products are no longer manufactured. Generic versions (in the multidose containers) are still available.
The ear drops are typically used once or twice a day for 7 to 14 days. You should begin to feel better within a few days of starting these ear drops. However, this does not mean your infection is gone. It is important that you finish the full course of this antibiotic. If you stop using this medication too soon, your infection may return and antibiotic resistance may develop.
