Meclizine hydrochloride (Antivert®, Bonine®, Dramamine® Less Drowsy Formula) is an antihistamine drug approved for the treatment of motion sickness and vertigo. Dosing for this medication varies, depending on the specific product you are taking and the condition being treated.

The recommended dosage (for the non-prescription version of the medication) for preventing and treating motion sickness in individuals 12 years old and older is one or two meclizine tablets (25 mg to 50 mg) once daily or as directed by your healthcare provider.

For treating vertigo, the standard prescription meclizine dose is 25 mg to 100 mg total per day, given as two (or more) smaller doses per day. The standard prescription dosage for preventing and treating motion sickness is one or two 50 mg or 25 mg tablets, taken one hour before embarkation and repeated every 24 hours if necessary.
